This agreement is meant to create clarity, shared understanding, and a supportive foundation for our work together.
1. Parties
This Service Agreement is entered into between Brittany the Doula ("Doula") and the Client listed below.
2. Scope of Services
The Doula agrees to provide non‑medical, informational, emotional, and physical support as outlined in the selected service package (prenatal, birth, postpartum, or classes).

Postpartum and newborn care support (if applicable)
Specific services, hours, and timelines are discussed and agreed upon in advance.
3. Nature of Doula Support
The Client understands and agrees that:
A doula does not provide medical care, diagnosis, or clinical advice
A doula does not replace medical providers
The Client remains responsible for their own medical decisions and care
The Doula’s role is to support, inform, and hold space — not to direct medical outcomes.
4. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
Communicate openly and honestly
Inform the Doula of relevant changes (care provider, birth plan, location, timing, etc.)
Maintain respectful communication
Reach out with questions or concerns as they arise
5. Fees & Payment
Fees are outlined in the selected service package.
Payment terms:
Payment is due as agreed upon in advance
Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise arranged
Accepted forms of payment include cash, e‑transfer, and credit card (credit card payments are subject to processing fees)

Policies regarding cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling are outlined in your service‑specific agreement or booking policy.
Please reach out as soon as possible if circumstances change.
7. On‑Call & Availability (Birth Support Only)
For birth support clients, the Doula will be on‑call as outlined in the service package.
The Client understands that while every effort is made to attend births, rare emergencies or circumstances beyond the Doula’s control may prevent attendance. In such cases, backup options will be discussed whenever possible.
8. Confidentiality
All personal information shared will be kept confidential and treated with care, except where disclosure is required by law.
9. Liability
The Client agrees to release and hold harmless Brittany the Doula from any claims arising from the Client’s decisions, medical care, or outcomes.
